Windandsea beach, La Jolla, Ca. My wife, my dog, and I all enjoying our retirement.
Over edited?? Not in my eyes, it is an art form, of self expression, and tastes.
Cool images!

Over edited? Depends what you were looking for. I would edit the first one by cropping all of the blue sky off the top. That's not where the subjet{s} is. Concentrate on the couple on the bench with the dog and the reflection on the water. IMHO

. . . and straighten the horizon. Very important.

The horizon is straight. The clouds are crooked. I probably should have over compensated.

Not over processed. But do straighten the horizons. Though the sky and wave interface at the "horizon" is a bit confused and diffuse. Also for the first
one crop out the top portion of sky and clouds and the curb and part of the sidewalk. In essence make a landscape 10:8 (5:4) print from your portrait mode 3:2.
Good images in general.
I like your second image the best, just a tad brighter.

This is what I had in mind for a crop. I think it makes the image more about you and your wife enjoying the view, rather than about the view itself.
Just my opinion.

You’re right. I already changed it.
I have had this discussion with folks and it all boils down to opinion.
I like my photos pretty much as the come out, (warts and all as they say), so I mainly do some simple cropping, and exposer tweaking. Much more than that I find tedious and boring.
I leave the color balance, object adding and erasing, to those who enjoy such things. Many have become master artists with stunning photos. I admire their skills and creations but like automobile restoration, cedar strip canoe making, custom engraving and fancy wood working; I can appreciate the talent but my taste tend towards the less fancy versions.
Not at all, very well done, keep horizons level though.
Not over-edited to me, though I would whack the top off the first one, as has been suggested.
