Manual focus with a 5D (mark 1)

Has anybody used anything but the standard focusing screen, for good manual focusing, on a 5D Mark 1?
If yes, which screens, Canon or 3rd party?
I used to get on fine with split prism back in the mists of time.

Unfortunately they do not seem to have one for the 5D
