Like number 1, but would remove effect on the desk itself. It would then create a 3D effect.

Very imaginative. I prefer the first one. I usually do not like frames around the picture but your framing really makes the pic stand out. Good Work!

#2 B &W with the "Light from Above" agree with ArtBob do away with the oval and it is the best.

The order I'd go with is 1,3,4,2. One is really striking, and #2 gets lost in all the borders, 3 and 4 are nice, but kind of ordinary...probably great stock images.
