Our 18+ years old cat Ted is getting weary and we often find him in the bed under the duvet cover head resting on the pillow. Took this quick snap of him this morning.

Sylvia, an awesome photo with great PP work. DDL really shows off the sharpness of the "kit lens" that usually gets little to no credit.
I am so glad to know you are about back to normal. I always enjoy your posts and enough said.

The shot is reminiscent of the Chessie Cat (symbol of the Chesapeake and Ohio Railway (C&O)). Any relation?
Great Shot.
And this household appreciates cat personalities. We had a half Saimese, half grey tiger stripe who considered himself a person and member of the household. He was 17 at his end.
PS., And a
for your mending.
Beautiful photo! Gosh, I didn't know you were sick Sylvia, glad you are recovered now.
Good to have you back. You were missed.
Very nice Sylvia - glad you're feeling better!
Nice shot, Sylvia--hope the old guy hangs in there.
Beautiful image, Sylvia and very glad that almost back to par!
Sylvia, that's a beautiful photo of Ted. It is very much like the drawing that has been in my family for probably 100 years and currently hangs over my bed. I don't know who did it.
I really enjoyed the photo and narrative of your cat. I had always been a cat hater until years ago when my ex said we needed a couple of cats due to house mice in a ranch house we had bought. She brought home two new kittens, brother and sister, that a local vet was planning to put down. The male was identical to yours and the female was black. They were so tiny we had to bottle feed them from a child's toy set. They both lived until about 18 years old. The male was all male, strutting around the house while the female was all girl, walking prissy like. Both liked being petted but only when they wanted it. But both would be found in bed with us, along with two big dogs, on cold winter Colorado mornings. The male would sometimes go totally under the covers to keep warm. I ended up loving both of those cats as they slowly wormed their way into my heart.
Your photo is excellent and goes along well with your great narrative. It brings back great memories as my two cats have been gone for years now.

Exactly what Stephan G was thinking. You got this so right in many ways. In case anyone was wondering, look up Google "Chessie System".
Good to hear your doing well. Your kitty is a beauty...
Poor Ted is all tuckered out Sylvia, very good shot.
