Maybe someone from Trumpistan can explain why Pelosi has any incentive to move an inch. Trump has painted himself into a corner and Pelosi must enjoy watching him squirm.

Right wingers must long for the day when they could incessantly h**e on HRC. Peolsi is a different breed of cat and she knows (unlike Ryan) how to run a House caucus as Trump is learning to his deep dismay. And this is before any Congressional Committees start issuing subpoenas.

Everyone assumes Trump will be on the ticket for 2020. What makes everyone so confident he will get the GOP nomination? Right now people are jockeying in the local GOP caucus to get elected as local convention delegates from which will come the State convention delegates from which will come the National convention delegates. As the current shutdown is harming more and more people without regard for party affiliation the prospect for one wowzer for the caucuses and conventions. All it would take is a dedicated group to put up a candidate to challenge Trump. Last 2/3rd of 2019 and all of 2020 promises to be exciting. I hope the GOP will dump Trump at their convention.

Your link has nothing to do with my post...which renders it incoherent gibberish.

Do try to pay attention.

How about those in "Pelosistan" recognize this isn't good for the country and by not compromising she's showing she's putting party ahead of country. Again. Both parties are. She's not to be admired for giving us the finger.

Why aren't Americans demanding compromise? There is no winner here - we are all losing the longer this d**gs on.

She can’t and hasn’t tried to censor his speach. She can and is keeping him from using her house to deliver it from.

They passed a bill that Trump said he wanted and would sign.

Then he let his handlers 'Limbaugh etc.' change his mind and threw a temper tantrum.

The house has passed a myriad of Republican authored bills which have previously been passed by the Republican senate, in an attempt to open the government. She/they are doing their part. To just capitulate to this president would empower him to do god only knows what mischief in the future.

I absolutely agree, but she would still be a terrible candidate, considering that a candidates job is to get elected.

That isn’t what I was commenting on. I was refering to his typically posting bull manure .

I knew what you were commenting on. Just bored today it's cold and rainy.

She was not a good candidate and would not be; but still got more v**es than Trump.

I think you are missing the point of my post. It was about the politics of the shut down and how Pelosi has Trump just where she wants him. Only. I tendered no argument in the finger pointing game.

But since you want to play finger-pointing, then fine:

There was a bi-partisan agreement in December to avoid this BS and Trump reneged on the deal when Ann Coulter got under his skin. Among other things, that makes Trump an unreliable negotiating partner. Who can blame anyone for not believing a single thing that Trump agrees to? Maybe the Dems should bypass Trump and negotiate with Ann directly.

Trump made a splashy display on tee vee about how he would be proud to own the shut down. Why are we even playing the finger pointing game? Oh right--its Trump.

Mexico was going to pay for his wall. Why are we even having this discussion? Oh right--its Trump.

The Dems keep passing legislation that would end the shutdown and would be sure to pass the Senate and McConnell will not even allow a v**e. Why? Oh right--its McConnell.

From my perspective, Trump is demanding capitulation, not compromise. Trump has completely underestimated Pelosi (getting back to my original point). Presidents usually don't try to bully Speakers. Trump has made a serious miscalculation in trying to bully this one.

He’s calling on the dem promise to build a wall. Ask President Reagan. He was promised the wall by Dems.

Or are Dems liars, c***ts, crooks and just a pile of stinking corruption.
