Just found this forum from google and am looking forward to participating. Have been in photography for many years (although proudly still wear the badge of amateur photographer I have dabbled with idea of setting up a home studio). Currently am a stay-at-home Dad of a 4 yr old (probably the hardest job I have held to date). My interests are landscapes, portraits, sports action and 360 panoramics but I love learning new tips and tricks.

Being a stay at home Dad with a 4 year old it is indeed a good thing "you love learning new tricks" cause that has to be a daily event. I will be gone for a long week - DC if it does not blow off the map but will look forward to seeing some of your work and comments soon. Here are a couple that many are very likely tired of looking at - and of course all are always free to comment or not. Enjoy the day.

Beautiful pics. What camera did you shoot these pics. Any photoshop done to it?...Colors are are so rich and vibrant and very sharp..fantastic!!!!
Well - I pretty darn sure I used a Canon SX110 which is a point and shoot. I do have have a Canon Rebel 2 with several different lenses. Often when I travel I'm just to lazy to carry the bigger one with me. I have had really good luck this year on a couple of trips with the weather in that I have had many days with clouds which is good for one that seldom gets early, and often retires early. I hope to use my DSLR on this trip and to shoot mainly in RAW which is unusual for me. I will be checking on my return to see what you & and others have been up to. Enjoy the last gasps of summer, or enjoy the fact that it is darn near over.
