Traffic on those spans is awful but unless they did something with the roads on both ends, 2 bridges really wouldn’t matter.

The last time I drove over the bridge...maybe a month ago...there were 2 sections of the old bridge remaining, one near the west end and one near the east. Did they implode both of them or just this one?

I taught a Hazmat Course in NYC years ago and crossed the Tapan Zee Bridge twice every day for a week... Good By Tapan Zee Bridge, better that it was brought down rather than falling down loaded with people.

Thank you all for your comments. Lets hope the bolts hold up on the new "Tappan Zee Bridge".
