I've been using CCS-Digital (ccs-digital.com) inks (Best Ink and Toner) https://bestinkandtoner.com/ for 5+years. Have used both single use and refillable cartridges on 5 Epsons and 1 Canon. The principle, (Izzy Goodman) is very knowledgeable, responsible, and honest. Answers queries quickly. Totally satisfied. Prior to switching to CCS-Digital I tried 2 other 3rd party vendors. Had issues with both. I am not an employee, merely a very satisfied customer.

The last time I bought a complete set of Epson ink cartridges for my Epson XP-830 printer it set me back $100. $100!!! Comparateandsave.com offers compatible ink cartridges for this printer for only a little more than half that price. Has anyone had experience buying ink jets from this business and, if so, how do they work? Does anyone have a suggestion on another place to buy ink jets?

Lately I've been buying remanufactured cartridges for my HP printer from Inkfarm.com

About half the price of OEM HP cartridges, excellent ink quality and customer service.

Have a look at their website...looks like they have cartridges for all major brand printers.

Personally, I wouldn't touch third party inks with a 20 foot pole. My Epson P800 uses OEM only, makes exceptional prints and has no issues to date. If you want to save money on printing, just don't bother doing it yourself. Best of luck.

I don't do a lot of printing and don't have a high end photo printer. But I will say I gave up on "compatible" cartridges long ago. What I saved up front usually cost grief and stress later on. I bite the bullet and use Epson ink cartridges in my Epson printers.

I use an Epson Surecolor sc p600 and Marrutt inks. Fraction of the cost of Epson inks and superb colours provided you calibrate and use accurate profiles. Have a look at www.marruttUsa.com. I buy from the UK address but same USA manufactured product. Can't speak too highly of the company and its products.

Third party ink jet cartridges may cost less than 50% of the real thing but they are worthless. They can destroy your printer.
If you like the way your printer operates, just spend the money. Or go for broke and buy a well-rated B&W or Color Laser Jet printer.
It may seem like big bucks at first but you won't have to renew the ink jet cartridges every couple of months. Just find out how long the Laser Jet Power Cartridges last.

We all must understand that printers are like razors, they sell them below cost and make money back on the ink.

Search carefully on prices. I have noticed that ink prices on Amazon have in the last yearare always 2 to 3 times the price on B&H and Adorama and the Epson website. Caveat Emptor!

I'd be interested to know how they can destroy your printer. Some maybe but not all. I've used same Marrutt ink cartridges for over four years on same sc600 printer so far without any problems. Hope I'm not tempting fate with this observation. Only issue is that the Epson level indicators don't work. But that's a small price to pay for the cost savings. This means checking ink levels manually. No hardship as far as I'm concerned and Marrutt do warn you about it before you buy. Can't comment on other manufacturers cartridges because I've no experience of them. Did do a lot of research before deciding which cartridges to go with and I must admit I did come across some rather poor looking products which I wouldn't have felt comfortable using.

I found that the black cartridges worked fine but the color cartridges were terrible when I used them for printing pictures.

Granted, my printer is just an Epson XP-630 that I gave something around $100 for a couple of years ago, but I've only used refills from Swift Ink since the starter cartridges ran out. A full set of 5 XL cartridges was around $35 a year ago. I only needed the three main colors my last order and it was $28.98. These cartridges have always worked perfectly, colors are as good as the Epson's were, and so far absolutely no problems.

Except, Epson sneaked into their firmware update something that supposidly prevents using anything but their inks. Since being alerted to that I simply haven't allowed the printer to update. I'm betting the newer Epson printers already have this - I do remember an indication that Swift is dealing with the update in terms of their inks but haven't heard anything definitive.

We used them on an Canon printer. The 3rd party maker cartridges gum up the printer head. Nothing could be done to fix it. Bought a new Canon printer. Of course, you’re free to do what you want to do. As someone said here Caveat Emptor. Good luck sir.

Sir. I have finally looked at the printer you are using. It is a Pro’s printer. The inks you buy and the way you refill them are perfect. I had been referring to ordinarie printers that employ sealed ink jet cartridges. Those need to be OEM. You have an exceptionally fine printer.
