I believe that Nikons have the option of allowing shooting with or without a card. Maybe he had set it to allow shooting without a card?

He must have. In the Shooting Menu one can choose to Lock the shutter if no card is present or not to Lock it. I always select LOCK.

I would say that is not possible. Either he has one card in the camera - probably Slot 2 - or he has a vivid imagination and a great memory.

The first two things I do when I get a new camera are make sure it will not activate the shutter if there is no memory card inserted. The other setting I change is to make it take a picture whether it is satisfied with the focus or not.

"Some" shots are "held in the camera's buffer and can be displayed on the monitor in 'demo mode'.

Jerry I’m with you I partially buy the Nikon rep about demo mode but not 200 pics my bet he had the second card in camera and looked too hastily did not see it and panicked. Raw files are large I do not see a camera having that much memory

The internal memory of the D7200 is not designed to hold 200 shots. Something stinks in Denmark and Morocco.

Yes, the camera will show the last image taken. It's for demonstration purposes. I'm sure he can't see all 200 photos, only the last one taken.
