I dreamed about that 2" plastic tube last night!! What is UHH doing to my head?!?!?

Hey Sue that tube has possibilities have one look like a gun barrel shot to me. Haven’t tried with the 18-400mm lens yet, probably won’t work well with that. Thanks for sharing. Bob

I love this thread for accesories, either bought or custom made.
Everybody has a camera (or more) and one o multiple lenses, seeing accessories gives ideas of useful things (and also a cheaper GAS medicine :-D )

Thanks for hosting this challenge and getting me to look at what all I have stuffed into my latest bag.

BUHH, before ugly hedge hog, I was fat dumb and happy with my little Sony Alpha DSLR stuck into a pretty simple bag. Then one day I saw this Tamrac backpack bag in a local camera shop, so I spent some birthday money on it. Compact and convenient to take along even on a plane, and I could hike with it on my back supported on two shoulders rather that slung over one. That was then ….
.… then I found the Ugly Hedge Hog web site and lurked for a while looking in on a few different threads until I came across the Daily Challenge hosted by Photogirl from Tucson, AZ. It wasn’t long that I was experiencing great tips from friendly folks all around the globe. Of course with all these tips comes a need to not only improve technique, but also equipment. And with more equipment you need a bigger back pack. I realized that after the first Photopalooza in 2013 in Colorado. It took a couple more years but I finally found this USA Bear back pack that can haul all this stuff, some of it I’ve even used.
Thanks for hosting this challenge and getting me t... (show quote)

Thanks so much for the link Lesley. I've got one like that and discovered backpacks just aren't my bag. LOL. I purchased a Seahorse Wheeled Hard Travel Camera Case 24" X 14" X 10" yesterday from a gentleman right here on UHH. It's on its way. When I go out, I prefer something I can throw in passenger seat of the old Jeep, with a flip top. Easy access. If I'm trekking through the woods on foot, I have a fanny pack, and will soon be looking for a camera vest.

Oh well I was thinking about your need for one to house the longer lens..lol..Glad you found One..

And a couple more. The piece of cloth under Bean Bag is a 14x14 inch satin material. I use this when out, camera mounted on tripod, if I leave camera for a few minutes to check set up, I cover camera with cloth to keep dust whaterver off of camera. My DSLR attracts dust like a magnet - this helps.
