The reason McDonald's changed is very simple. As they added more entrees it became
much more complicated and much less profitable. The original prices were to "bring them in."
Food in restaurants today is overprices. We have a sort of gourmet hamburger a few blocks
away called wifiburger. It is very good sometimes. But we dont go often. 2 burgers we added stuff
great french fries and 2 drinks $30. We stopped going. McDonald's service and hygiene and training
went down a long time and they suffered for it. I dont think the salaries are the problem it is
the greed in most businesses today. And for a lot of folks their are not many other options.

Interesting prices.

With two kids, I recall Burger King's offer of "Feed a family of four for under $5.00" and it was true! We did it more than once!

When I was in High School our fraternity used to go to White Castle after a meeting in one of the brothers panel delivery trucks holding 12 to 15 pledges in back. He would order about 150 burgers plus matching fries, girl would always look in back to make sure not a joke.qqq

I said I would be damned if I would pay $0.28 for a hamburger!!! I would travel a long way for two $0.12 White Castle burgers and feel I had gotten a real deal!

Mickey D had a commercial..."Change back from you dollar."
Of course, they didn't include tax.

For those of us who now live where there are no White Castle's, they are available frozen in some grocery stores. Both with and without grilled onions.

The hamburger was more than a gallon of gas in Cedar Rapids IA, 17.9 cents a gallon at Deep Rock.

When I was in high school in 1966 you could get a Big Mac, small fries and a small Coke for about a dollar. I think they even had an ad campaign based on change back from a dollar for the above.
