Thank you Fred. This is an awesome body of work. So glad you posted this link.
Some thoughts. A lot of the photos were well done composition. Time took its toll on the prints.
I was impressed with the spirit of the lady pilots group. I had a design studio and we experimented
with hand coloring and it was very difficult. I think we used Dr. Martins dyes.
The work by this lady is just wonderful. Dont think it could have restored like this
before Photo Shop. Thank you again for the link and thinking of us.

Truly amazing results. I wonder how she decided on the colors and her PS process. Would be interesting. Thanks for sharing.

On her website, the artist tells how she researched and selected the colors. That would be a tedious process, in itself!

Brazilian colorist and historian Marina Amaral has been using Photoshop since she was ten. In 2015 she came across some colorized photos on the Internet and began restoring old black and white photos. Her work has received acclaim and experts have declared her work "historically accurate."

Thanks or "not thanks" for causing me to be mesmerized with the pictures and spending over 1 1/2 hours of time in which I wanted I wanted to accomplish something. I may have to look at them again.
