On our trip to Italy, we toured the Vatican. I have never seen such opulence. It was magnificent, and the Sistine Chapel....there are no words to describe it.....!!!!!!! I left the explanations out purposely. They are not needed.

Excuse me but why am I thinking those pictures show a Vatican grossly infatuated with male nudity ?
With enlargement I think I only saw one females breasts in there.

Do you mean the Active topics Rich,if it is ,i cant see mine on there either.Dont know if this is the same for everone.Perhaps one of the other posters might know.

I believe photography is prohibited in the Sistine Chapel. I know that it was when I was there a couple of years ago. In the other Vatican sites they only prohibit flash.

Hi vevthird, yes, you are right. They do prohibit taking pictures in the Sistine Chapel. When we were there, all you could hear was : click---click---click, etc., a million clicks all around the entire chapel..... The only time the caribinere (the police, i spelled it wrong) came down on anyone like gangbusters is when a flash went off. Those people were promptly escorted out. But other than that, noone was asked to leave because they were taking pictures.
