Dark photos uploading to Lightroom Classic cc

Lately. with my 80 D Canon DSLR When I shoot indoors. (manuel/RAW) the pictures look great on my little screen, and when I upload them, they upload very dark in color. Is there a setting in my lightroom Classic cc that I can set to adjust this when I upload? It only started when I updated to the latest version of LR. There used to be a setting called GENERAL... and it's not there now...Perhaps that is what is happening? Thanks

You should post one of the pictures here so we can see what it is you are talking about.

Lightroom only does what you tell it to do. Some possibilities relate to the type of previews you've elected to generate, presets you've chosen to apply and profiles you've selected. An update or two back, additional profiles were added to the list of choices.

Can you expand a little with what you mean by "upload"? Where was you "GENERAL" setting applied.

As I understand it by default LR gives you a basic flat preview without a lot of your settings applied. Your camera will usually give you the embedded or sidecar view that comes from your settings. Make sure you are using the embedded/sidecar option in the general settings.

Is it possible that you have altered a setting in the program and you did not realize that? Things you can check: In the Import Panel check all of the panel settings to ensure that they are what you want them to be. Check the metadata on an image in the Library Panel. Check the History setting in the Develop panel to see if any filter has been applied to an image. Are you able to effectively process the photos? I think more information from you might be helpful but weird things do happen. I don't think this would be about your settings for the previews, but, then again, I'm certainly not sure of that.
