D5100 and lens to go ???

Hi, I have D5100 for more when six month. I got it with kit lens 18-55 and also received discount price for 55-300. I am not professional, just love photography. I keep my camera ready in any possible moment I can take good or memorable shot. That includes indoor and outdoor. I use speed lite when I go to the restaurant or bar with my friends.
At some point I realized that I need walk around (universal) lenses. I have bad experience with my Olympus, changing lenses; have sensor fool of dust and sand.
I went thru a lot of reviews, and forum was very helpful. I decided to purchase Tamron 18-270.
I bought it and was happy with my Tamron.
Now comparing shots, I realized, whet my pictures I took with Tamron missing sharpness and colors comparing to Pictures I took with Nikon. I took several shots with the same settings on the camera jut switching between Tamron 18-270 and my Nikon 55-300.
I know that Nikon makes new 18-300. So my idea is to sale all my lenses and goes for Nikon.
I appreciate any opinion on this and may be somebody have Nikon 18-300 and can share experience using it.
Thank you.

I have the Nikon 18-300mm lens and love it. It is heavy but having such a full range is worth it to me. I sold my 18-200mm and 70-300mm lens and can tell you that I wouldn't use them now. However, I did keep my better lenses f2.8 or faster. The 18-300mm is my walk around lens and has served me well. It seems as sharp as the 70-300mm and sharper than the 18-200mm lens. I've attached a couple of pics using the 18-300mm lens.

No one is going to say that Nikon makse bad lenses - or cheap lenses. Other companies also make good lenses, and they are generally less expensive than Nikon. I would suggest reading what our members have to say and also reading reviews of lenses. If you want autofocus, be sure to get a lens with a motor.

You already have the 18-300mm range covered with the two lenses you already own, I personally have found the 18-55mm is not a bad walk around lens. You could save the money from not buying the 18-300mm lens (I think new they are going for close to a $1000) and use the savings for something else? Just a suggestion, that's what I would do anyways, you're going to get lots of opinions on this! ;) ;)
