I reshot the Woodlouse top view so that it would fit better in the frame without cutting much of it off. Kind of the same just a little bit different.

I'm still experimenting and I'm hoping my future posts will be even better. I put a level on the camera and noticed that although it looked plumb, it was off a bit which at the higher levels of magnification and such close focusing might be a cause of some fringing.
I've got it square and plumb now and ready for another session so I'll know more soon. Just have to find a photo worthy subject.
We are expecting 8-plus inches of snow today so maybe I'll be able to find a Snow Scorpion although I'd be more likely to find a Leprechaun's Pot of Gold first because they are both impossible to find.
