Jim, Glad to hear that you enjoyed your visit. As you well know, the Chateau dominates the skyline in the old part of town and offers excellent photo opportunities from different perspectives. One can get a great view of it, as well as Lower Town, when taking the ferry from Levis (the south shore). It was designed by the American architect Bruce Price, with the construction due in no small measure to William Van Horne, also an American, who was the general manager of the Canadian Pacific Railway Company.

bobby, My first visit to Quebec City was in 1969, but I didn't get to stay at the Chateau! Thanks for your comment.
