I took these on a 2018 spring trip down through the south west corner of Texas to Big Bend and Mexico with our travel trailer.
The old picture of the Jersey Lilly saloon is a my photo of the original photo that hangs inside the saloon which is now a museum exhibit. The new photo is of the Jersey Lilly as it stands today. The desert preserves stuff pretty well.Roy Bean was a real guy!
If you saw the movie (Paul Newman) "The Life and Times of Judge Roy Bean", it is all pretty cool.

There was also a TV program about Judge Roy Bean, "The Law West of the Pecos", that ran for a couple years in the '50s. Starred Edgar Buchanan
Great movie. Good photographs and they bring back memories of enjoying watching the movie.

I, too, like your photo. Very nice and shameful that a former Texan like me has not been there to see it. The movie remains one of my top favorites and I love Ava Gardner's appearance at the end. How beautiful she was.
