Church wedding, photographer and lighting question.

What do you guys do for lighting in a big wide open church to catch the ceremony? I’m going to a very small very close family wedding next month and there will be no hired photographer, no bride maids or any of the big wedding stuff so I’m planning to take my camera and take some shots as I can. By no means am I being anything official just a family member with a camera but really wondered what the pros do for lights. My camera will do ok in limited light, Canon 6D and I will take my 70-200 f/2.8L lens. I may also take my 85mm f/1.8 for the small reception as it does great in not great light. I don’t have any flash units and wouldn’t use them if I did as to not distract the ceremony. I will shoot in Raw and hope I get a few good shots, if I do I’d like to have a few printed for the couple but I’m concerned about the lighting in a big, wide open building. Thanks guys!

My Suggestion
Set camera on manual
Have vibration reduction turned on.
Aperture f/1.8 - f/2.8 (remember this setting will be giving you a shallow depth of field)
Shutter Speed no less that 100
ISO set in Auto (Range ISO 100-3200)
Try not to have an outside door or a window in you pictures when taking indoors. If no option and a window or open door is in the picture might need to adjust exposure compensation-1

Test these setting inside your own home with lights on at night.

Expect to do some exposure adjustments in post production. This should get you some decent pictures.
