Sorry, that's not correct. One of the early immigration reform proposals was DACA and WALL. Trump flip-flopped support on that; it was supported by Democrats.

Democrats are holding a no wall position because there is no way to get Republicans to negotiate in good faith on immigration reform otherwise.

Remember, Trump ended DACA as an administration policy with the promise to support DACA as a legislative policy.
