The next se******n for SCOTUS.. I think we can reasonably predict a civil war. Kavanaugh will Look like a boy scout compared to the lies, disinformation, propaganda and unusual amount evil lyingly applied to the new candidate.

Get the popcorn for never ending attacks. Hoping lefties will see it for what it is. A reasonable person can. It will be all leftie lies. It’s their nature. Similar to the attic. Personal attacks, disinformation, name calling. Quite childish. Dangerous. Evil.

People need to realize that a Supreme Court Appointment is not a popularity contest. It's a decision based on the person's proven ability to interpret The Constitution. Although some consider that document to be an obstacle.

I believe that Ginsburg probably has an advanced directive stating that she is to be kept alive by machines until there is a left of center president in office with a pro a******n senate. Only then can the plug be pulled.

Just to watch Schumer’s head spin, my short list would be:

1 - Mark Levin

2 - Bill Cunningham

Perhaps our despot will appoint Jared Kushner. He seems to get most jobs in this administration.

This thread proves a point, my leftie friends.

Instead of name calling banter and what not...

You simply could have pointed out missing work on her part. Not a great thing, but William Rehnquist missed 44 oral arguments throughout the 2004-2005 term.

But for the t***h and factually challenged, these things cause you these odd outbursts of panic.

Wrong, that is two years out, and the Senate is Republican.

Are there qualifications to be a Justice? Do you have to be a lawyer or attend law school to be a Supreme Court Justice?

The Constitution does not specify qualifications for Justices such as age, education, profession, or native-born citizenship. A Justice does not have to be a lawyer or a law school graduate, but all Justices have been trained in the law. Many of the 18th and 19th century Justices studied law under a mentor because there were few law schools in the country.

The last Justice to be appointed who did not attend any law school was James F. Byrnes (1941-1942). He did not graduate from high school and taught himself law, passing the bar at the age of 23.
Robert H. Jackson (1941-1954). While Jackson did not attend an undergraduate college, he did study law at Albany Law School in New York. At the time of his graduation, Jackson was only twenty years old and one of the requirements for a law degree was that students must be twenty-one years old. Thus rather than a law degree, Jackson was awarded with a "diploma of graduation." Twenty-nine years later, Albany Law School belatedly presented Jackson with a law degree noting his original graduating class of 1912.
