Thx a lot for looking and comment and question, the white tubular structure is a railway bridge over the water ,a vertical lift bridge for ships to pass.I will include A bigger images from that bridge so you can see better..

Great paintings especially the second one, good use of light. Artist have away of depicting what they see more accurate than a camera. I have never with a camera been able to capture some scenes the way I see.

Years ago I was taking photo of Zion NP just outside of and it was in Grafton, Ut. A ghost town, the home of
the movie Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid. There was an artist there painting pictures. I took my rendition and noticed his paintings and said your painting look completely different from what I see through the lens. I change things so they are more eye appealing was his reply. How can you do that? It is my artistic license that I have when I paint.

Just for fun...
I was in Zion in November. I am an amateur photographer and painter. So do I want the exact representation of a scene or its essence? Sometimes my paintings might make you feel Zion more than the photo. And it takes 1 in a million to get the "perfect everything" in a photo, but as a painter I can "make it so". Not right or wrong. I love them both. Attaching cell phone pic of "The Watchman" watercolor from Zion, again just for fun. I bet you have a similar photo taken from the bridge.

I like the photo, well done. What is the white structure on the right skyline in your first photo?
