the movie Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid. There was an artist there painting pictures. I took my rendition and noticed his paintings and said your painting look completely different from what I see through the lens. I change things so they are more eye appealing was his reply. How can you do that? It is my artistic license that I have when I paint.

I was in Zion in November. I am an amateur photographer and painter. So do I want the exact representation of a scene or its essence? Sometimes my paintings might make you feel Zion more than the photo. And it takes 1 in a million to get the "perfect everything" in a photo, but as a painter I can "make it so". Not right or wrong. I love them both. Attaching cell phone pic of "The Watchman" watercolor from Zion, again just for fun. I bet you have a similar photo taken from the bridge.
