If a group of women anchor their boat in a public waterway may they presume that their privacy is legally protected and that photographers are enjoined from photographing them?

If it is public waterway unlikely, you can ask whomever to stop though.

Not necessarily.

It's no different than the privacy you expect in your home. If you're out in the yard or on an open porch, you have no reasonable expectation of privacy. However, if you're inside the home, you DO have a reasonable expectation of privacy, even if your curtains are wide open and you are visible from the street.

So if a woman on this boat is on deck, she knows she's in full view of the public - no expectation of privacy. If she's inside the cabin, she DOES have that expectation, even if she's visible from outside.

Isn't this just common sense?? Not only on the person who's getting photographed, but the person taking the pix. Come on. I know there are some scum-bag photo-hogs out there, and they ought to have the decency to let others have privacy. With that said, some people ought to think of what they are going to do in public before they do it. Anyone out in or on a natural waterway is as far as I understand "fair game" for whomever wants to take a pic, but I believe that it is the moral, and ethical responsibility of us photo nuts to respect a persons privacy. Please people, THINK about this. 8-)

Come on folks. When out in PUBLIC, no-one has privacy. Sure, women will complain and guys will confront a photographer. As stated in an earlier post, people should think before exposing themselves to the possibility of some photo-nut like us taking their pix. I personally would not take the pic, but when I do I always ask for permission. It's just good etiquette/manners/common sense. No-one has refused my requests and I have gotten some good paying jobs from those pix. Do NOT be sneaky/underhanded/deceitful of your intentions. Inform the subjects of your images, and your intentions as to why you would like to capture their images. Nine times out of 10 there will be no problem. As a matter of fact, the 10th time the subject might just get in contact with you to take pix for them. Good Luck   8-)

Once again, and for the last time the answer is a resounding NO!!!!!!!!!! Y'all should read previous posts and quit beating this thread to death. Use common sense. That is probably too much to hope for. Hope you all take pictures that are in focus. This thread is done. Be polite to other folks when you see an image that you would like to take a pic of. I have come to the conclusion that some folks have absolutely ZERO in the Common Sense area of their grey matter. Cannot wait to see their pix posted on this site. Point being....Respect others privacy. I've had enough of folks invading my, and others privacy, and it is highly annoying. Get some class, or better yet ethics. Unless you're a member of the "Papparratizi ( little cockroaches in Italian). :hunf:
