After reading all the comments I think in general you have a couple of outstanding pictures. Any adjustments made from this point are just ones opinions that some will agree on and some not so much.
I tried to look at your pictures as if I was going to put them out there for sale and now what do I think?

My first reaction was they might look to others as over saturated to an unrealistic amount, but then again maybe the colors were correct, only you know for sure. I downloaded your pictures and played with them. As I reduced the saturation I thought they were becoming flat, not a good thing. Then I thought about looking at Levels and checking out the Histogram. I found that sliding the triangle to the left to the beginning of the curve brightened and added some additional drama to the picture.
While trying to improve my pictures I have seen much value at looking at the Histograms relating to overall brights and darks, an area till recently haven't paid much attention to.

Whether you do anything or not to your final pictures they will be a proud addition to anyones collection.

Both great shots but drawn to the shot with the reeds

Thanks. I like both shots as well. Some think the reeds block the view, but to me they were a part of the view.

Very lovely work, Kathy. You've inspired me to think that I need to get back out that way again.

It's a beautiful spot from which to view the mountain. And it's pretty easy to get to. It would make for one of your beautiful B&W's one of these stormy afternoons.

After reading all the comments I think in general ... (show quote)

Interesting comment. Actually, the colours are really close to real. (That's what I always strive for.) When I'm finished in LR, I normally take the image into PS to do just what you suggested. I was taught a long time ago that each image needed an absolute white and an absolute black, and that's how that is achieved. Then I adjust the center slider to add (or subtract) contrast.

I offer both prints for sale at art shows. Those who are familiar with the mountain know how it looks and sometimes choose both!

Thanks so much!
