Another recent trip to the Botanical Garden. Not great photos but beautiful flowers.
It's a pity that I didn't notice the dust on the leaves in the first shot otherwise I would have cleaned them. Can anyone name this flower? It's an aquatic plant.

Really was attracted to number 1. Would make a fine print! BTW, I couldn't help noticing the similarity between the composition and that of your avatar...interesting! Well-done.

I'm not sure, but based on what I can see of the leaves, #1 might be a water hyacinth. Nice images.

Thahk you very much for your reply, that's kind of you. My avatar is Matisse's "Snail". Yes, I suppose there is a sort of similarity but my shot wasn't trying to imitate it.

Thanks for that. It's strange that being in a botanical garden that there was nothing to indicate what it was when so many of the other species were labled.
