From my last trip to Yellowstone, first time on Beartooth Highway. The gentleman sitting there gave perspective to the scene. Gary

Nice composition Gary. That is Upper Twin Lake, you can just barely see part of Lower Twin Lake to the right of it. The spot you took this shot from is my favorite place to take pics of Pikas, and less than a mile from my favorite place to shoot Mountain Goats.

Carter, No wildlife was around when I was there, however we did see one Mountain Goat around the area you described. Looking froward to coming ack in late May. Gary

Bmac, Thank you, the man sitting overlooking the lakes makes the picture in my opinion. Gary

Nice one--I really like it. This is an example of my kind of landscape photo.

Side note: when I looked at the download, the image got smaller. Did this happen with anyone else?

Late May is good so long as its Memorial Day weekend or later, thats when the pass opens most years. 2018 was 2 weeks late this year because the Wyoming highway dept. was late clearing their side, the National Park service pays for the Wyoming side of the actual pass but the state does the rest. Montana always has both ends open for Memorial Day but in MANY years it gets closed again right after the holiday due to Spring snowstorms that can dump a foot a day or more.
Stop by the store if you get a chance, and have a great trip.
