Hi Folks, found this old fella playing music at a nearby gas station. Well, this was an photo opportunity I just couldn't pass up. Gave him a big tip and he tipped his head to acknowledge me all the while without missing a note. Hope you like this one...I'm not very good at some photos, but this one felt good taking.

Thanks.. My version.
Must say in advance that sometimes images from my computer doesn't "transfer" to other computers in the same tone, (or colors) that I see on mine...
This is a DIRECT result of being born TOO early and only learning a "BIT" about computers at the "ripe" age of 60!!

Please do...all of my photos are open for further discussion/processing. This was done using a Topaz Adjust B & W Toned preset. I didn't mess with it too much. I agree it needs something more. The lens on this camera is extremely sharp and shows in the photo. Maybe I should also look into softening it a bit. Anyway, have some fun and enjoy. Looking forward to your version. You can download the original by clicking on the image. That will take you to Flickr. Look for a arrow icon at the lower right (pointing down). That the download button.

Yes, I have this problem too with image quality transfer. Images look great when I'm in Photoshop, but when I upload them to my Flickr site or here to UHH...they are drastically different with less detail and dynamics. Anyway...I like your version. It's much darker. There are so many ways to process images these days, it's almost endless. I like your version for it gives me a feel for how others (in this case you) see and perceive the world. I learn from studying how others would do things, and for this...I am grateful and thankful you took the time to help me expand my knowledge.

No... Thank you for letting me "play" as I LEARN from the experience as well.. Does seem that different "treatments" tell different "stories" of a photographic image, and evokes different emotions by the viewer. That is what finally turned me "on" to digital as my background was film, having run a photo lab (among other things...)

Let's see if this works: the link below is a video with sound I took using the same camera the still was made from.
