My printer is on all the time. If I am using my laptop in a different location I am too lazy to get up and turn it on.

I doubt it matters at all. printers today run an exercise cycle that wastes ink so your print head doesn't dry up. brother all in 1 printer I hear run them all the time. The canon pro 100 I never hear at all.

Mine is always on, I also keep it somewhere which is not too hot or very cold as that can affect the ink.

I have two canon Pro-100's. One stays on by itself, the other turns itself off after a few hours.Too early to know which is better! They both are used weekly. Check back with me someday for my report!

My all-in-one printer is on all the time since it is the main printer for everyone to use for non-photography printing. My Canon Pro 100/1000 are off except when it print my pictures. No problems

I have a Canon Laser Jet Printer. It's set up for my wi-fi. I can print from anywhere in my house. It's always on.

I never turn my printer off but it goes to 'sleep' after a certain time.

Follow Epson instructions. I have always left them on. They go to sleep and wake up automatically when a new print job arrives.

Epson ET-4550, a multifunction printer with ink tanks instead of carts. It is a network printer that I leave on all of the time as it goes into a sleep mode. I also try to print something at least once a week to keep the heads clear. While the initial cost was a lot, currently $528.00 on Amazon, It has paid for itself when compared to buying carts. No problems so far. Good luck to you.

Yes, I have a Canon PIXMA PRO-9000 (Mk I). Pretty much the same here. Though I've had it less than 2 years. Bought used from a friend.

I have a HP Officejet Pro 8610 Printer, I leave it on all the time, except when changing the Ink cartrages, it is about 3-4 years old, works great.

On...the ink and it’s sensors is the issue.

I always turn my Canon printer off, of course the last few years I go without printing (photos) for months at a time, probably won't replace it if it dies.

Do you have a specific reason why you turn off your printer? Personal preference?
