Monkey Business, Part one of several!

Time for a little Monkey Business. You who have been looking at my girly snappers have figured out that I'm a serious sort. No, really, its true. Yet I do have a lighter side, after all work and no play time makes everyone bored, right? Sooooo, this is a post to start a set of posts from a series, sort of a kitsch series drawn on that age old goody of the three monkeys, see no evil, hear no evil and hear no evil.

I asked three model friends if they would do the series and in the words of the petit babe, Miss Tuesday "Oh hell YES!" It is great when three buds just can't help but have a roaring great time, cut up and have little 'jokes' among themselves that I have no idea what is going on and they are a dozen feet away.

Last info, left to right, VADA, Miss Tuesday, and on the right Darcie.

Nice job capturing a lighter side to all this. It illustrates what I believe is my greatest problem--trying to edit down to the One? "keeper." Good luck!

I sent you a private message with details. I say this because others have sent private messages about my being in San Antonio. I have the studio, gear and props, plus contacts with models. I do rent my studio for shoots and can hook you up with models. That said I would care to do some sessions where locals can use the studio and work with a figure model where any money collected goes to the model as a modeling fee, I and the studio do NOT need to make money. So if your in the San Antonio area I would look forward to hooking up with you. Lets do some net working!

Jeep Daddy, it was a blast!

After doing the shoot I had prepared an Italian meal and we sat down and had that. Yes, the girls are all my friends. While I made lunch (it was quick) the babes went out into the garden and lounged around. I brought out some wine and treats and it is a good thing that the garden is secluded because it was three women sun bathing necked with The Bubble kitty. I regard the garden as another studio, right now it is too cold in SA for anything but coats and sweaters! LOL!!!

So instead of eating inside we ended up in the garden for lunch. It helps that all three women are into kitties with their own kitties. The image is The Bubble (27 pounds of him!) with VADA and Missy hanging out on another day in front of the copy of the Rose Window associated with the San Fernando Mission. Shooting in the garden is a load of fun!

Fun to look at.
But the series brought up something from the depths of my mind, which I not looked at or verbalized before - to me, the female body and persona is a work of art - regardless of the pose, the lines as emphasized by light, the persona as presented by expression. All, all together is a marvelous work of art. And, the model and photographer who structure and capture that are artists in the extreme.

I agree BboH, men can be artful, but women are art!

Thanks my friends! No VADA this Sunday, she is off to Pennsylvania for business. Miss Tuesday (now calling herself Rory) will be back in town from Main in about a week (my fun life as an artist allows me to leave the Halloween set up for her so some more fun along with the big polka dot Christmas gift box). Darcie has moved to Washington State, probably back in a few years, LOL!!!

For Christmas VADA ordered boots, campy/slutty boots! As fat will have it, the girls are all size 8 in shoes/boots. That means next week will have boots for Rory shoots but VADA will be popping into them as well. That is the sort of Christmas fun I get.

Not because any one asked, but these babes and many others I have the fun to work with are all married. VADA is totally NOT into children while Rory and Darcie have children. All are married. I know their men, have worked with them helping with projects at their places.

Often I get questions, do the models get aroused. But of course! Just like we male photographers. So being the evil Scorpio boy that I am the girls go home after with naughty shoes and outfits and slake their man. This does not go unnoticed by their boys! LOL!!!

Another issue, the girls have thumb drives and take home all the high res jpegs from every shoot. Why not, they are the critical mass in this activity. I often 'pay' give the women clothing/shoes and such from the wardrobe. I can always tell when they have their wants for something. Most of the reguars are never shy, "Timmy, this is so cute! Can I have it?" as they are trying it on. "Yes of course, but wait..." I disappear and come back with something, "Try this, it will make it soooo sexy!"

This is how I work, it is fun and effective. I do live a charmed life but I also cultivate that life and the models are my friends.

By the way, last night I got an e-mail from Liz of Houston (Liz Ashly). She will be here at the end of the month January 25th to the 28th. Funny thing I've never photographed Liz, that Louisiana, Texas, Big Truck driving girl! Last year she was here and saw leather chaps, large size. She was looking at these and had 'that' look. "Liz, your tiny, them are huge heavy black chaps, why are you looking at them like that?" Seems Daryl has a big bike (her husband) but has never gotten that part of his leathers to rid his bike. So Liz took the chaps and tossed them into her big truck crew cab. I love it, Liz is so deeply in love with him that her mind is thinking 'mother hen' style when he goes out ridding. It ain't the outer beauty that makes women our grand partners, it's that inner beauty that get men.

Three weeks later wouldn't you know it, in walks a model and gives me a pair of black chaps sized for models! Yep, charmed life, yes, but it is how we live our lives that matter!

VADA in them chaps in the garden during a group shoot (reference images).
