I really like the suggested new format! It is faster for those of us who can scan articles without having to click on interesting sounding topics that are of no interest in-fact with the printed content. Go for it!!

Sorry, I really, really don't like it. It takes me much too long to find posts of interest. Now, if only there were a magic way to expand just the titles so it was easier to guess what was in the post, that would be fantastic!

Alternately, what if posts and responses were tagged with a short list of topics that described the nature of their content, somewhat like hashtags but chosen from a limited list? That would be so helpful.

Much better than the old format. I often find the titles less than helpful in trying to decide whether or not it’s worthwhile opening the post.

I like the present format. It gives me the sections that I subscribe to and I can see the title thread then I pick and choose what thread I want to read or ignore.

Unless I am missing something I do not see that option in the new format.

I like it and expect I will use it instead of the "old" format. As others have said, the "topics" in the traditional format can be so cryptic that several button presses later you realize it is not something you wish to pursue. Also the shortcut for posting seems like it will make that activity easier. I think new members will definitely find it more intuitive, and veteran members can spend less time explaining what buttons to push to accomplish various tasks. I don't have any changes to suggest at this point.

I sorta like the new one, but not while I'm at work, for reasons cited above. I'd vote for optional, your choice depending on your mood or circumstances.

While being resistant to change I like the format. However, I'd also like to vote for keeping the current format. I am voicing this opinion now in the event that there is a future effort to eliminate the old format in favor the proposed one.

The old one will remain, but in addition to that we'll have the expanded format. It's basically a list of intro posts for each topic, one after another.

The new format is for people who prefer to scroll rather than scan headlines.

Here are some examples:

Please test it out send me any feedback you might have.
Thanks.

After reading your reply and watching for the issue I was describing below, I'm not seeing it now. Maybe I had some bad coffee.......

I don't use the digest.

I use the following:

I check in and click on "Newest Topics" at the top of the page. All the "Newest Topics" will show up. The newest topics have a green and bold type that will say "New Topic" at the beginning of the topic.
After I have viewed everything interesting to me, I will click on "Mark all Topics as Read".
That removes the green bold "New Topic" from the list.
When I return later in the day or the next day, I repeat the above process.

Now, I'm seeing topics that I have already "marked as read" are showing up as a "New Topic" with the green bold type.

I'm guessing the green bold "New Topic" is reappearing because there has been a new post and is causing the "New Topic" to reappear.
This action is miss leading for a "New Topic"
This will make it harder to find my place from my last visit.
I hope this makes sense.
Pat
