The only thing that was accomplished with the KJU meeting is that he got the sucker trump to meet with him without actually promising to end his nuclear program. It was nothing more than a propaganda photo op for KJU.

In the new trade agreement with Mexico and Canada, just what did the USA get out of it? Almost nothing!

The trade wars and tariffs with China are still holding our farmers and manufacturers hostage.

The farmers can't ship their crops.

The government shutdown is preventing their Agriculture Relief Checks from going out.

Manufacturers are having to pay higher costs for their raw goods with tariff charges being tacked onto the invoices for their parts. Yes I see those charges on the invoices that I process daily! Those costs are being passed on to customers in the form of higher priced goods.

The stock market fell 660.02 points again today, closing at 22,686.22.

800,000 Federal Workers are either furloughed, or have been working without pay for almost 2 weeks now, and trump is digging in his heels (ouch, those bone spurs must be hurting an awful lot about now), refusing to budge on his vanity wall.

Our National Parks are being trashed because the Park Service employees aren't allowed to police the parks, or oversee the facilities.

The sooner that trump realizes that he's not going to get a penny from Nancy Pelosi's House, the better off he'll be.

The majority of American v**ers do NOT want to fund the vanity wall, when the Federal Budget is out of control, and the 2017 Tax Cut Bill only added to the Debt and Deficit. One month of higher tax collections doesn't offset the tax losses in the other months.

The new deal, called USMCA, still needs lawmakers in all three countries to ratify it. As is, the USMCA is lot like NAFTA but with a few upgrades.

For one, it increases the amount of dairy products that US farmers can export to Canada without tariffs, while allowing more Canadian peanut products into the United States untaxed. It also requires US automakers to use more car parts made in the United States to avoid tariffs.

But the most striking difference from NAFTA involves protections for workers in all three countries. Mexico has agreed to pass laws giving workers the right to real union representation, to extend labor protections to migrant workers (who are often from Central America), and to protect women from discrimination.

American auto companies that assemble their cars in Mexico would also have to use more US-made car parts to avoid tariffs, which would help US factory workers. And about 40 percent of those cars would have to be made by workers earning at least $16 an hour — three times more than Mexico’s minimum wage for an entire work day.

And unlike NAFTA, the new deal allows each country to sanction each other for labor violations that impact trade. It’s a complex, multi-step process modeled after similar protections in the T***s-Pacific Partnership (TPP), a trade deal that Trump pulled the United States out of after taking office.
