Yes, this spot is about as far North by NorthNorWest from Mt. Rushmore as one can get and still be in SD.

That was also my reaction. Also while the far horizon appears level, the angle of the bluffs on the right combined with the soft focus gives me just a little bit of vertigo. And yet I still like the image.
