It was so much fun! It was Valentines coming up and we had just done a school girl shoot. I went into the big grocery store and there were these Valentine heart shaped boxes with the fronts green like chalk boards. I picked up several and took a couple over to KNOX for her input. It turned into a KNOX as a school girl and I had her be uppity, which she really is at heart!

So it was her dressed as a school girl, in her favorite bra (it really was in fact her new fav, visiting Wally World (Wall Mart) and 'shopping' for fun stuff. By the by, if you want the latest baby-doll nighty and like apparel, several week before Valentines Day is the only time they carry Baby Doll nighties, weird!). Then she gets sent to ISD for wearing a bra, and the ISD teach discovers she has pasties underneath! Ballistic is how these teachers go! LOL!!!

I would have loved the series tone more and more revealing of her "skin". images 3, 4 and 5 have nice facial expressions, good eye contact, but they'd be more potent if they were progressively more seductive. Really good shots, very "real". Better focus in some areas, better lighting as well, and you'd have some very solid frame-able art.
I'm glad you joined this forum. Your stuff has some touches of one of my favorite fetish photographers of all time: Helmut Newton.

These are 'real', she got off to the set up. You don't 'hear' the goings on, but I do talk the models through the stages of these sets. Unfortunately, as that guy The LA Photographer says, can't show some of the rather edgier work! Too intense! LOL!!! Some would love the KNOX with Mickey as a striper at Christmas.

I don't do 'shows' or frame work any more, as my Mafia uncle would say, "There's no percentage in it!"

To each his own and this is not mine. Photo quality, lighting , quality and model are good but I do not like the theme or all of the junk around and on the model. It takes away from her natural beauty but I have the feeling that her beauty was not what you were going for.

You nailed it Toby, not going for the models physical beauty. Let me be honest, I rather become bored of photographs of nude babes on seamless backdrop paper. For myself it is just not interesting. I do sets, create theatrical scenarios. But I hear you, so here is Miss KNOX taking a break with her chilln (for those who don't know chilln, it is what people in the US use to smoke pot with) and conversing with some half a dozen photographers in a workshop. Yes, in my garden, sorry, I mean Bubbles Garden (Bubble is the huge kitty, 27 pounds of him who lives in HIS garden, I just care for the garden and Bubble! LOL!!!). This is Miss KNOX being sedate.

You got it this time. Everything in this photo, as was the other group, is excellent and this time the model looks very good as well. Even unposed I prefer this style. Glad you didn't take my previous comment negatively. As I said, in art there is no such thing as bad just different. Keep posting.

The truth is that there really is 'bad' art. What you are actually referencing is the position put forward by Marcel Duchamp, Man Ray and others of that mind set. Duchamp held that there is no good or bad taste with regards art. It seem a bit academic but in reality these people dismissed the Salon notions of what was important art regardless of taste.

Objections to doing school girl styling (not that you are doing that, please don't misunderstand the assertion being made) with grown women is like objecting to a model shaving the pubic hair or having tattoos. Doing photographs of 'under aged' models can be extremely tricky in a legal sense. Best to avoid the whole thing entirely. Be safe, don't tread on lines, it's no fun to be in a pissing contest with the powers to be.

Most of the time the reputation of the artist helps to establish if the artist will be able to do work that others would never get to first base with.

When it comes to taste I'm with Duchamp, after all when a persona like Duchamp tells us "You can see seeing, you can't hear hearing." you just got to smile and say, "That Duchamp! Always a head of most of the world!"

KNOX liked Bubble but to be honest she had other agendas!

The model/buddy who is the true cat person is VADA. She has several cats and dogs, fish, turtles. She is also a true hedonist. I was suppose to shoot with her last weekend when I got a call from her, "Timmy, it is cold and wet out, I'm home in bed warm and happy with the kitties!" Additional clarity, I'm in bed necked with the kitties who are sleeping all over me cuddling! That meant, do I have to come the studio, I'm super happy right here. Which translated is, VADA gets to stay home and cuddle with her soft fur covered kitties! And she did!

So, this is VADA with Bubble. It is impossible to tell which loves the other more.

VADA sings professionally. I've seen her preform on stage in operas. Bubble doesn't care about all that, he's just goofy for VADA.

About KNOX, just the important/pertinent stuff. A great friend of mine Debbie would model for me were I taught figure studio. At the time her two daughters would be at home and her eldest daughter had a close girl friend she did loads with.

That friend modeled as Jenny KNOX (when she was of age, mid 20's). When she modeled mostly with me was here in my current studio. KNOX turned 30 in that last year she modeled with me.

When she and Debbie's daughter were best friends KNOX was a kid, 14 years old. That Christmas I had gone to Salvation Army and picked up some sweet deals on all sorts of clothes. I visited Debbie's house and helped her with putting up the Christmas lights and such. In bounded Debbie's two along with KNOX (was NOT going by KNOX nor modeling).

So Debbie showed her three young girls the new clothes. I went to the car and got out load of clothes and passed them out to Debbie's two daughters. KNOX was in a corner watching all this until I pulled out two gorgeous dresses and told KNOX they were for her and that Debbie had told me all about her so I knew she was Latina and so though the dresses would be appropriate for her. She was delighted.

Several times I came close to trouble as KNOX delighted in tell photographers that she knew me when she was 14! I got some strange looks I can tell you!

Debbie, who is Debbie? Well, I call her Debbie Doll, to the world she likes to be called Deborah. So you get a snap or so of Miss Debbie! That's it for now, Debbie needs an entire set of posts for just herself!
