Bare-butt book cover

This was a single story, published on Amazon (Kindle) and other ebook formats and outlets.

As usual, a tame and a racier version to meet the needs of different publishers and retailers. I liked the colors and the covers 'read' well in thumbnail size. I believe I retouched between her cheeks in the nuder version, to keep it from showing too much, being too racy.

NO MODELS WERE HARMED IN THE MAKING OF THESE IMAGES.

Is it always the same model? The shots are so good that they are just matter-of-fact.

Interesting that two people who have never posted in this section are policing one who is a frequent contributor. Perhaps just don't open his posts if you don't want to see them?

Actually I should edit this, it doesn't matter how many times you've posted in here at all, it's not up to you what someone else chooses to post.

Appears to be more about advertising the book than extolling the virtues of the photographic arts. IMHO

There was a series of books and individual stories. I think six different models got book covers.

Very nice sculptural lighting in #1. The skin looks great too.

thanks. i try very hard to get good skin tones --- measure light temperature, use reference color charts, etc. especially important when photos will be used in print. i disagree with the attitude of 'shoot sloppy; fix it in post.' when you shoot in a controlled studio environment, you ought to be able to nail it pretty close when you take the photo.

Here's one trick to help get good skin tones... The shot is an uncorrected outtake. After looking at it, I changed camera settings a little.

Giving out what you do can help others to understand the what and were for of what you are doing. I do understand that a focus on 'tech' is never the answer to understanding creativity. So I tend to tell stories about what was going on with a shoot. In this forum it can be quite helpful to deliver both tech and creativity.
