Eneloop battery charger

I have the 4 AA Eneloop Pro battery charger and 4 AA batteries- no problems.

I saw there was an eneloop Pro charger for both 4 AA and 2 AAA batteries. Does anyone have experience with this charger? A few reviews said there was a problem with the AAAs.
Thanks,
Jim

Take a look at your charger and see if there are 2 contacts at the positive end of each slot. My 4 slot Eneloop charger will hold either 4 AAs or 4 AAAs. With the AAAs, the battery utilizes the closer positive contact and sits at an angle when correctly inserted.

I use a Maha charger for my eneloops, it charges 8 at a time and it is a smart charger. I would recommend to only use smart chargers and if the eneloop you're talking about is a smart charger, then you should be fine!

I use a La Crosse smart charger, which can charge single batteries, rather than pairs.

Don't know about the Eneloop, but I like my Maha MH-C800s charger. It will fast or slow charge up to 8 AA and/or AAA batteries independently. Looks like there are other brands that sell the same charger with the same model number.

I have a couple of Sanyo NI-MH chargers and they charge both AA and AAA just fine.

I have the BC700 with two contacts on the neg end for either AA or AAA. Haven't tried AAA yet as I mostly use the Eneloop Pro 2450 AAs.

I got the Eneloop kit which included the 4-cell AA/AAA charger a few years ago, and have had no problems with it or the cells. The charger says its a model BQ-CC17. I've picked up probably a couple dozen more cells by now, too. The kit came with housings to make equivalent C and D cells - has anyone had experience using them?

I purchased a similar kit from Costco a few years ago and the enclosed housings for equivalent C and D cells have really come in handy. More recently I purchased another Eneloop kit that came from Costco with a Panasonic BQ-CC55 charger. This charger will allow charging of 1, 2, 3 or four Eneloop (AA & AAA) batteries at a time. As long as you have backup Eneloop rechargeable batteries you are golden. If not, they can take up to 7Hrs. to recharge. I Love my Eneloops!
