D750 won't "manual"

Curious thing happened on my way to taking photos with my D750 on "Manual". None of the shutter speed settings, ISO, or aperture make any difference. The only way to change the exposure when I turn the dial to "M" is to adjust the exposure compensation. Has this happened to anyone else? Any ideas? Have I inadvertently locked it onto something else?

Have you tried the full reset?

Didn't do the "Full Reset" yet. Took the battery out for 10 seconds and put it back in. Now it seems to be working fine, weird! Thanks for the advice, hopefully the "gremlins" won't return.

I had the same issue long ago and took the battery out and the problem resolved itself. I think it only happened the one time and it was soon after getting the camera.

That seems to be a universal cure-all, like restarting a computer.

EDIT: I did a search for "remove the battery" in the D750 manual, and that didn't show up as a solution to any problem. Maybe they should add it.

Did you happen to have it on auto ISO?

No, I don't set it to Auto ISO for any reason, that is a variable I always manage manually.

You may have inadvertently moved the lock switch on the back of the camera. It happened to me.

Good to know. I have just decided to put my new 750 "on the road."

I'll know what to do-Thanks!

Lock switch?

I am not familiar with any lock that prevents Shutter and Aperture from being changed when the camera is set on Manual? But I am always learning and that function could be very useful!

Please tell me how do you activate this lock?
