These are off technically but captured the swollen waters, fog and mist I hope.
#2 far outshines (so to speak
) the others. Is the blur from hand-holding at slow shutter speed? The exif is missing. I feel that a very high ISO is preferable to blur, so I'm interested to know if you were aware of the issues at the time, and just unsure how to proceed to correct or avoid. Is there something we (all of us here) can discuss to help you prepare for next time?
#1 and #4 could have been pretty cool, not only for the water movement, but the presence of the birds.
No matter what time of the day you shoot, Sandy, your images are always beautiful. Mist , mood and spectacular lighting make these all winners imo.

Sandy, you did great capturing these landscapes with everything working against you.

I think that we may have been spoiled by our HDTVs to expect that all images should always be tack sharp every time. In this case, I believe that the slight off focus contributes to the images. In particular, the three dimensional character of the third image with the overhanging branch in the foreground (which is in focus) is enhanced (in my mind and opinion) by the lack of focus in the background, which is exactly the effect that would be expected because of the mist. There is all kinds of physics "stuff" that goes on among and through all the tiny mist droplets that would cause us not to expect distant objects to be sharp.
I very much like the mysterious atmosphere of these images. Very artistic as they are, whether intentional or not.
Definitely the second shot with a nod to the third. I must say that I am with Linda on these. For me there is too much blur resulting from slow shutter speed or possibly a focusing issue - maybe lack of DOF - which a higher ISO with a smaller aperture and/or higher shutter speed could have corrected. Having said what I find detracts from the photos, the subjects are interesting and I like some of the compositions and particularly the lighting.
