It looks like the sort of place that wouldn't be so peaceful and quiet in warmer weather.

An appealing contrast of golden brown against blue. Unfortunately, for me the image doesn't work because the pier blends into the background. Just one of those angle of view issues that can only be corrected by carrying a stepladder in your backpack

Hi R.G. Well you are right, although this area of Jones Beach is on the bay, not the ocean. So it is somewhat tame even in the summer.

Yes, you are right Linda. I had hoped the pier reflections would have helped keep the pier afloat (heh) in the photograph. As for that stepladder......you don't think this was the only photo I took of the scene, do you?

This is a lovely shot, Bmac. Is this cross-processed or duo-toned? The oranges and blues complement each other beautifully.

Thank you Donna. I am not sure how the post processing was done as it is an older image. Probably, a little bit of this and a little bit of that.
