Wonderful composition. We're drawn effortlessly into this engaging, pastoral scene. The sky color and cloud details are so powerful in comparison, they steal the show - like an upstart actor understudy

It looks like quite a good example of what I was referring to as channelling. The valley channels the viewer's attention into the shot and off into the distance.
