Trona Pinnacles

A couple of weeks ago we went to Red Rock Canyon (Calif. State Park) and the Trona Pinnacles. The overcast bland grey sky washed out the color at Red Rock, a disappointment. Knowing evaporites lack color we left for the Pinnacles at the break of day. We were on the wrong side of the Pinnacles for a sun rise pano, so I tried to use shadow for definition. Mid day these are visually very bland, Sun set would be best for a pano. Planning on posting a few pano's in the landscape section soon.

Thank you pwrxprt. A few years ago you commented on a post of mine (maybe decorated golf carts?) and I invited you to join me and others tracking mountain lions on Mt. San Jacinto . You had other plans, remember?
