Very nicely done. Love the sunrise on the peaks. Glacier has been one of my favorite parks, and I've captured some nice shots there. Remember my daughter and I being chased off the shore of the nearby Fishercap Lake as a bull moose in rut came charging down the shore to get to a cow at the other end.

We had to abandon a hike because of a momma black bear and her two cubs were feeding right by the trail.

Thanks for looking.

Beautiful. Glacier is on my list for next year. I'm hoping to get there after the roads all open and before the smoke starts.

Thanks. Some of the park was closed due to wild fires but we still had a great time. Make sure you give your self plenty of time to see the park. Some of the hikes are difficult if you are older like me. One kicked my butt pretty good.

The wife and I spend a good part of our retirement going to US national parks, 27 so far. It is impossible for me to pick a favorite park as they all have their beauty. I do admit there are some I like more than others. Glacier is one of those. This was taken early one morning in late summer by the Many Glacier hotel where we stayed.

Nice lighting and I like how the colorful clouds are reflected.

Beautiful photo!

Glacier is one of the two most beautiful National Parks we have visited (Yosemite is the other); I put them both at a 10. For beauty, I put Yellowstone and Teton at a 9.5 BTW. We have only been there once, a half day drive from east to west on the Going to the Sun Road in July 2011. It was part of a 14 day 4,100 mile road trip (5 days of it in Sisters Oregon for "quilt week"). We made a loop that day from Whitefish MT that went north then east to Waterton Lake and the lake cruise (NOT to be missed), then south to Babb and then our drive through the park. We will be going back to Glacier and spending more time the next time we go and will probably stay in the Many Glacier Hotel. We usually move quite a bit on our road trips. That trip included The Okanagan, Banff and the Icefields Parkway. We drove home to the the Bay Area from Whitefish via the Columbia River gorge (almost 1,300 miles) in two days.

Beautiful photo! br br Glacier is one of the two ... (show quote)

Thanks. Glacier, Yosemite, Death Valley, Zion, Arches, Big Bend... hard to pick the best so I don't bother. They're all great. Sounds like you had quite the trip. It took us 4 days just to drive to Glacier from Texas. I think we put 5000 miles on the car that trip when all is said and done. Washington, Oregon, and northern California are on the radar.
