i sometimes wonder whether all that we have been deploring is not parts of a larger agenda. Think of this: If the country can be driven into a super major crisis, might there be an irresistable call for a Constitutional Convention at which our current Constitution with all it protections for the average person could be scrapped for something else. Remember who were the big losers at the end of the Revolutionary War - the Colonial Aristocracy, the 1% of their time.
Is this too far fetched. But it is still possible. One saving grace - although such a convention could change the Constitution it would require 3/4ths of the States to ratify. So work on your State legislators and governors to keep our freedoms.
