If you have seen my post in the past, I have spent many enjoyable hours setting up and stalking subjects in the FWA in southwestern IN. I spent a few days in the Boca Raton, FL area over the holiday, and found the Wacahatchatee preserve (I think that is what it was called.) It is a county preserve that encompasses a small area of wetlands. It has an easily accessed boardwalk that gives fairly close access to hundreds if not thousands of birds, not to mention many other species of plants and animals. My fairly new D7500 and a 70-300 4-5.6 VR G lens got a good workout, and I got LOTS of practice.
Here is a smattering.... as always, much better downloaded. I appreciate all comments, Thank You
Great captures! Especially #1 Thanks for the share!
Superb images! Not that it matters in any way, but curious about your gear.
Great photos. Really like the wood stork.

These were all with D7500 with my 70-300 AF-S 4.5-5.6...
But I was amazed at the GAS I got looking at what others had in their kits...

Thanks for indulging my poor attention to your opening description 😬 You seem to be doing just fine with what you have. Of course, I should talk (panting after the Z series).
These are all very nice. Great work!
