Earl I remember them as Everlasting Daisies or paper Daisies. They stay together and look and feel like paper when dead.

Earl, I'm terrible at identifying flowers but even before I saw Donna's comment I was thinking of asking Ellen if they were strawflowers, mainly because we had a pot of them this past summer---nice shot!
