Hi, I have a brand new EPSON V600 SCANNER. I've been using this unit for about a week now. Working great for all this time until this morning it stopped working. I mean it still operates but now the scans come out with a green line across the entire thing. I did not change anything. I simply started the unit in the morning, began scanning, and a green line started appearing. Has anyone had a similar experience? How can I get rid of this line? I greatly appreciate any information. Thank you very much.
Not trying to be cheeky or sarcastic, but have you tried contacting Epson? Wouldn’t that be the obvious place to start?

Here is another problem but with the software and not the scanner. Not everyone experiences it. The problem is that the software freezes. Epson does not and will not fix it. However, the solution is to run it in administrator mode.

I found you have to keep moving the curser every few seconds, it won't freeze

Interesting. My problem occurred between scans and had nothing to do with how many or the time between scans. I was not happy Epson did not want to fix it. They told me they knew of the problem for a few years and did not even tell the first line support people about it. After several phone calls and long waits, I got an engineer who knew the problem and fixed it quickly. I complained that the first line people could have handled this simple fix but they never thought of telling them about it.
Hi, Thank you for your reply. I have not tried EPSON yet. I will send them an email and see what that will do. Thank you!
Great! Thank you for the link!!!

I had this problem when I tried to scan some slides. I do not know what they are called, but there are some alignment sensors at cover hinge end of the flat bed. One of them may have been blocked. Try lightly brushing the area.

Ok, I will clean it up and see if that helps. Thank you.
