You need to get thru your head that having a dog chained up in one spot 24/7 is cruel and inhumane. I am not the only one to believe this.
Twenty two states make it against the law to do this.
Read this and see what organizations and government agencies say what is obvious. But, I guess they are all wrong.
Do you want to back up your rhetoric about dogs being chained 24/7 is not cruel, with some facts?
http://unchainyourdog.org/Facts.htmThe site you quoted is not accurate at all. It's an animal rightist site and they want everyone to think it's cruel so they can get it banned. Look at the pictures for example. Designed to evoke an emotional response. You have to realize that these people also know next to nothing about animal husbandry.
Tying out is NOT unsafe or inhumane. That is complete nonsense. Sure it's unsafe if you do it so the dog can get tangled up or hang themselves. The dogs don't become "anxious or aggressive".
Tying out a dog doesn't make them more aggressive unless you don't know what you're doing. Nor is it a safety hazard. It is safer for the dog as a containment measure and healthier than a kennel since they have a lot more space.
That site is so full lies and studies taken out of context. I have a copy of all the studies they misuse.
Bottom line - they really don't have the animal's best interests in mind. In my (very) young and stupid days I was an animal rightist and learned what their real agenda was. They are experts at propaganda and they won't stop.
I cook for my dog every day, and have bought her a high-end aluminum alloy mobility cart for her paraplegia. My mail carrier told me of a woman on her route that had a dog with declining health due to age (my dog is an 11 year old mini dach) and her choice was to take it to the humane society. :/

http://unchainyourdog.org/Facts.htmYour Quote:" having a dog chained up in one spot 24/7 is cruel and inhumane. I am not the only one to believe this." Since when is your opinion valid in my life? It isn't. Why do you blow up your head thinking in an ego trip that I must accept your opinion as fact. Because you and others believe things is not my bases to be a fact! I do not accept an idiotic statement like I am to believe you because some other people also believe like you!
Your quote: "Do you want to back up your rhetoric about dogs being chained 24/7 is not cruel, with some facts?" I guess you need to get educated again in reading since I made a complete statement about chaining up dog 24/7 365 with alaskan huskies sled dogs! That is a real life fact and it is not cruel! And I repeat it is the owners who do not care for their animals that make it something cruel!
You have the same mentality as anti gun people. It's the object and not the person that is bad. Sorry it is the human that is using an object incorrectly that makes it a cruel disposition.

People like her shouldn't have a dog.

A dog is for the life of the dog, I have always fed my dogs raw which I buy beef trims from my local abattoirs butcher shop which is very cheap but good, I also give tripe, chicken carcass, chicken feet, rabbit with the fur on to name a few and plenty of raw veg. I have never had any serious problems with them as they got older apart from sight and hearing loss. My last dog I lost was 13 and had all her teeth, stayed the same weight but her body just gave out with age... Woody at 15 is loosing his sight but has been the same weight for all his adult life and he has lost 1 tooth which I think is very good going.. I never bath them but they get well groomed, go out in the rain or in rivers and the sea and their coats are soft and never smell...
