Well, B&W gives a cleaner, sharper view of the scene, with emphasis on its structure. Color, on the other hand, provides more emotional content, a more realistic feel for the event (a night scene). So, it's your choice. And y'all have a Merry Christmas!

For me B & W tells the story better by far in this one. Mucho distractions in the color. It is a very nice portrait of the lady, nice work and Merry Christmas to you!

B&W works so much better, IMO. Very well done.

The B&W works better for me. Nice shot, lots of activity in the background but the portrait adds an element of control to the caos. :-)

B & W--no contest. Too many distractions with the color version.

You described them perfectly. I love both, but if forced to choose, I think the black and white works better.

I agree with everyone. The B&W is a much better image. You have all of the detail without the distractions.

Hey, thanks, Everyone, for your thoughts and opinions on this one. I was surprised that the B&W was such an overwhelming favorite, though. (I kind of liked the color.) Well, live and learn.

The color is vibrant, alive. The B&W is blah, washed out, dead. I can't help but believe that people that prefer B&W are pretentious and are trying to say to the world "If you can't appreciate dull, outmoded B&W, then you just are too dumb to know "fine art"." But smart intelligent people like me loves it!!!

Alas, People who think they know all there is to know about everything are very annoying to us who do.

Color version is very 'busy', B&W speaks louder in this case. Nice image(s)
