These are some great shots SENSORLOUPE. What were your settings? A little under exposed but excellent tight shots. I am still working on getting these tight kind of shots. Keep it up and post more photos. Thanks

Thanks Tom. Auto WB---1/800 shutter---2000-2500 iso---and Manual. Shot with Canon 85mm 1.8 lens

Glad someone liked them!! I think they are a little grainy tho. There was a guy there shooting with a Canon lens that may have cost more than my Grand Cherokee!!! ha!!

I am not the expert but why don't you try a few at 1/640 and maybe a few at 1/500 and up the ISO 3200/4000. Just try a few like I said and let me know how it did. Thanks

Oh yea. I was shooting a football game 4-5 years ago and this guy from a news paper was there shooting with this huge lens. I finally went over and asked what it was and he said Nikon I believe 400MM. I had to ask him how much and he said a little over $12,000.00. I wanted to ask if I could hold it and look through the viewfinder but was afraid to hold it.

What is your name, I feel a little funny calling you sensorloupe? (If you don't mind).
Okay these are really good. You dropped the shutter speed and still stopped the action. For girls basketball your fine even try 1/500. They are not as fast as the guys. I shoot the guys at 1/1000. Your first set is a little under exposed, but these two are right on. Great stuff. I don't think you should worry about the iso, you can go up to 5000 if you shoot tight and fill the frame. The 85mm I just tried the other day, and like it, but you have to find the where the focus is tack sharp. Every lens has it's sweet spot.
Again good work and yes your getting better every outing.
Have a great holiday season.
Jules
