Thanks Queencitysanta. I joined Fred Miranda just for this search. Honestly, for not much more than a refurb, I could buy new from Adorama and get a free Manfroto tripod I don’t need (sell the tripod and be close to a refurb price...within $50).

I got mine new at adorama for $1169 with full us warranty 3 weeks ago. If they don't advertise that price ask for a salesperson, chat them up, and get this price.

The following link and price is for GREY Market. If you find it for $1199.00 or lower right now, it most likely is an import, a grey market lens, which means if it needs repair here in the USA, Nikon USA will not repair it at all. Other than that, its the same lens as a USA model, just not sold by an authorized Nikon dealer.
