Christmas Caroling & Mistletoe

A group from my church went into the community of Stony Creek to sing Christmas Carols late this afternoon. In 1848, Stony Creek was a stop on the Petersburg Railroad. As of the census of 2010, there were 198 people, 99 households, and 56 families residing in the town. I only had my phone with me but decided to take a few snapshots of some of the older houses, and the towns' Mistletoe tree to share. Being around 4:30 to 5:00 the quality isn't at all great but you'll get the idea. Everything that you see in the tree are bows of mistletoe and not any other type of foliage. Enjoy and MERRY CHRISTMAS to ALL.

Yes, I've visited Nelson, Co. many times. Stony Creek is in Sussex, Co.

Nice shots with a phone camera. It is amazing just how good they are. I have seen someone shooting a wedding with a phone.

broncomaniac - Thank you. My best friend was raised in the Presbyterian Orphanage there in Lynchburg. Sadly he is no longer with us. I sure do miss him.
Bigmike 1 - Yes, my Galaxy 6 has amazed me with the quality of its' images before. Not as good as a DSLR but sometimes pretty close.
AzPicLady - Yes, Stony Creek is a very laid back, calm, and quiet town. There were some drug issues in recent past but local LE & the VASP cleaned them up. Sussex County is mostly farm land and very rural. Sadly the public school system there leaves much to be desired. Personally I don't want anything to do with city life. Been there, lived it, and ain't gonna do it anymore!
